Immanuel Lutheran 5K for Kenya
5K Walk/Run
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murray Kenutcky is hosting the first annual 5K for Kenya on Saturday, April 25, 2009. This race will benefit a Kenyan Mission called Project 24.
Project 24 is working to help provide shelter to some of the estimated 2-3 million children in Kenya that have lost either one or both of their parents to the Aids crisis. They have also lost aunts and uncles and are left without anyone to provide food or shelter for them. This mission is working to build rescue centers to house and school these children. All proceeds from the race will go directly to the Kenyan people to begin work on one of these shelters. Please visit the Project 24 website for more information at http://www.childrenwithnoone.org/.
